Lagos

Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria and one of the largest in Africa. It sits on the Atlantic coast in Lagos State, was the national capital until Abuja replaced it in 1991, and is the country's commercial, film and music capital[1]. Bitcoin Obama says he lives in Kano, not Lagos, but Lagos is home to several members of his Nigerian “Bitcoin” crew and to Gbrossoft, the studio that made the Nigerian video game Outliver: Tribulation.
The city
Lagos began as a Yoruba settlement known as Eko, and many Lagosians still call it Eko or Lasgidi. It is spread across islands and mainland around the Lagos Lagoon: Lagos Island, Ikoyi and Victoria Island hold the business district, while the mainland includes Ikeja, the state capital, and Yaba, the centre of the city's tech start-up scene. The city is the base of Nollywood and of much of the Afrobeats industry[1].
The Lagos crew
Three members of the Nigerian “Bitcoin” crew around Bitcoin Obama are based in Lagos:
- Bitcoin Robin Williams, the “Sproto painter”, who hand-paints people's Sproto Gremlins and Milady profile pictures. His Crypto Craic Podcast episode is titled “The Painter: Lets Get Your PFP Painted in Lagos”.
- Bitcoin Druski, who makes videos about Bitcoin Obama, including a trading-card analysis in 2025.
- Adeleke the Nigerian, who told RXK Nephew on a September 2026 podcast episode that he lives in “Lagos Nigeria”.
The community also uses Lagos as a measure of wealth. In April 2025 a holder wrote that Bitcoin Obama “would’ve been rich enough to buy the entire city of Lagos if only he had held”[2], and in November 2025 another joked that he would help build “a city like Mumbai and Lagos and Silicon Valley”[3].
Gbrossoft
Gbrossoft (GBRO'S SOFTWARE AND GAMES LTD) is a small Lagos game studio. Its survival-horror game Outliver: Tribulation came out on Steam in 2023 and is one of the best-known games made in Nigeria. Bitcoin Obama played it with Cryptoiscrack on the Crypto Craic YouTube channel in “Nigerian Gaming Episode 1” (Feb 2026), [announced on X].
