Bitcoin MLK

This article is about the persona account Bitcoin MLK. For the civil rights leader, see Martin Luther King Jr.. Not affiliated with Martin Luther King Jr.

Bitcoin MLK (@BitcoinMLK) is a HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu ($BITCOIN) persona account on X, active since August 2023. He is one of the best-known examples of the community's “Bitcoin + famous person” naming convention, the same convention Bitcoin Obama's name fits. His bio rewrites the “I Have a Dream” speech as a request for two ETH, and his location reads “Hogwarts Whitehouse Sega 69 🐕”. He posts constantly, with tens of thousands of posts by October 2026, most of them shares and replies about $BITCOIN, Sproto and the coin's full name. He is not part of the Nigerian crew. He has traded replies with Bitcoin Obama on both of Obama's accounts since 2024, and in October 2026 he shared this wiki.

The persona

The account was created on Aug 4, 2023, a few months after HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu launched. Like Bitcoin Kyle Chandler and Bitcoin Mandela, it puts “Bitcoin” in front of a famous name, a running joke in the $BITCOIN community that grew out of the coin's own name, Harry Potter Obama Sonic 10 Inu. The joke runs through the whole profile. The bio is a parody of Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1963 speech: “I have a dream that someone one day will send me two eth where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”. The profile picture matches it, a blue Sproto-style frog with praying hands under the words “please” and “2 ETH”.

His pinned post, from Oct 19, 2023, is a price call for the coin: “Price Target Ten Dollars.”[1] He still spells out the coin's full name to newcomers, sometimes one word per line with the Ethereum contract address underneath.[2]

Posting

Most of his feed is $BITCOIN community content: shared posts from Frothless, Morelight, Sproto Gremlins sales bots and other holders, short quote posts such as “$BITCOIN”, “gremlins will inherit the earth” and “The Big Blue Avatar Aliens from the Harry Potter Obama Sproto Ranch” (a nod to Sproto Ranch), and replies that drop “Harry Potter Obama” into unrelated threads. In April 2024 he also promoted a cross-chain testnet sign-up.[3]

In May 2024 he posted a three-clip video titled “ABA EKULE #HarryPotterObamaSonic10inu”, showing bags of “Free Sproto Rice” being handed out at a market, a play on the community's free my Sproto slogan.[4]

He also shares posts by the real Barack Obama, for example the June 2026 posts about the opening of the Obama Presidential Center, alongside $BITCOIN memes. In July 2026 he quoted a viral post with “Obama started it all”.[5]

Relationship with Bitcoin Obama

Bitcoin MLK is one of the $BITCOIN regulars who appear most often in Bitcoin Obama's replies. Holders often tag the two together, and other users have mixed them up. In July 2026 one wrote “Its Bitcoin MLK and Bitcoin Obama.”[6]

2024: “Bitcoin and $obama”

The two first show up together in March 2024, when dumpstar tagged both of them, along with Bitcoin Mandela and others, in one $BITCOIN thread.[7] Obama replied to Bitcoin MLK's testnet promotion that April with “Yes good deserved”.[8] When Bitcoin MLK posted his “Free Sproto Rice” video in May 2024, Obama answered “I have been doing good things”.[9]

When Obama adopted the Bitcoin Obama ($OBAMA) coin in September 2024, Bitcoin MLK asked him directly, “Obama what is the ticker”,[10] and Obama gave his two-coin summary: “Bitcoin and $obama”.[11] On New Year's Eve 2024 Bitcoin MLK was among the accounts tagged in a meme calling Bitcoin Obama “a bad actor”.[12]

2025

In December 2025, a user replying to Bitcoin MLK and Obama's new account had to clarify, “Hahahaha wow I am not bitcoin Obama.”[13]

2026: “check dm now”

On @obama__nastty, Obama has kept up the replies, usually with his check dm routine. He told Bitcoin MLK “check dm now” in September 2026,[14] and in October sent him a $pig ticker[15] and a Solana token address.[16] Bitcoin MLK answered Obama's posts with “Me2”[17] and “Bullish”,[18] and on Oct 24, 2026 (CT) Obama told him and two others to “Dm”.[19]

On Oct 28, 2026, Bitcoin Obama posted a link to this wiki: “Hello guys this is my site , if you want know more about try to check this out”.[20] Bitcoin MLK shared it and replied with a request: “Add more articles for @SprotelBitcoin”.[21] The wiki now has a page on Sprotel.
