Duanyay (Duany'ay, Duan'yay)

Duanyay (also spelled Duany'ay and Duan'yay; credited on IMDb as Duan'yay Edwards; @DuanyayEnasche on X) is an American comedian, actor and Fishtank Live personality who holds the show's record for the longest stay by a freeloader.[1][2] He was the guest of episode 13 of The Crypto Craic Podcast, “DUANYAY from FISHTANK gives BITCOIN OBAMA the TEA” (Sep 26, 2026), in which Bitcoin Obama interviews him.

Name and spellings

His name appears in several spellings. The Fishtank Live Wiki and the podcast's show notes write Duany'ay, which is also his chat display name on the Fishtank site (@duany'ay).[1] IMDb lists him as Duan'yay Edwards, with the alternative name “Danye”.[2] His X account is @DuanyayEnasche, and the podcast episode title spells it DUANYAY. During Season 2 the Fishtank website misspelled his name as “Duan'ye”.[1] His Instagram account is duangargon1,[3] matching the “GARGON” in his X bio.

Early life

Duanyay was born on June 23, 1999, in Jacksonville, Florida, and has lived in Dallas, Texas since his time on Fishtank.[1] His X bio, “GARGON💫 🇬🇭 🇰🇪 FL 🌴🍊▶️ TX Longest Reigning Freeloader🐠✨”, refers to the same move and to his Fishtank record.

Fishtank Live

On Fishtank, a freeloader is someone who lives in the house for an extended time without being eligible for the grand prize; the Fishtank Live Wiki names Duany'ay as an example of the antagonist freeloaders who raise the tension until contestants break.[4]

He first appeared as a freeloader in Season 2, entering the house on day 12 (December 29, 2023), when he was put straight into the swamp triathlon for its smoking and hot dog events. He said he got onto the show through his connection to Alex Stein.[1] He stayed until January 22, 2024 (day 36),[4] longer than any other freeloader, and was the first African American participant on the show.[1] Season 2 viewers found him polarizing. They mocked him constantly through TTS messages, and he answered with trash talk that kept the contestants on edge.[1] Fans decided his laugh sounded like a crow, which led to a “CAW” clan on the site and a /caaw chat command that announces “a deafening laugh”.[1]

He returned on the first day of Fishtank All-Stars: Vampire Bloodgames as Lore, the town crier of the village of Schitty, and again as a freeloader in Bitchtank and Season 5. In Season 5 he entered on day 21 (April 4, 2026) alongside the streamer Suzie Smalls, often got drunk and ranted about his Season 2 run, and sided with James Drake and Laura against Bashir.[1] Fishtank creator Sam Hyde named him on Michael Malice's Your Welcome as a standout cast member he wanted more of.[1][5]

In November 2025 he set up Thankful Tank, a Thanksgiving-themed, Fishtank-style show on Kick with former cast members including Jimmy and Trish. Fights among the cast and production problems made it chaotic, but it still drew 400 to 500 live viewers at times.[1]

Episode 13

The show notes read “Bitcoin Obama interviews Duany'ay from #fishtanklive”. It came out the same week as the $dasha promotion. The episode has not been transcribed. Obama reposted the announcement.[6] He was the second Fishtank Live guest on the show, after Davie on episode 12.

Cryptoiscrack had replied to him on X since at least January 2025.
