History
GBROSSOFT is a family-run team. Its site lists Mudathir Giwa as founder, team lead and programmer (he also handles design and sound), Ahmad Giwa as artist and Barakat Giwa-Akinsiku as narrative designer[1]. In its 2023 postmortem the studio described the three as self-taught developers from Lagos State who began Outliver: Tribulation in 2019[4].
The studio published a free demo of the game on itch.io in November 2019[5]. In March 2022 it received an Epic MegaGrant from Epic Games[6], and it moved the game to Unreal Engine 5 later that year[7].
