Bitcoin village (Sproto Street and di Sproto wells)

Di Bitcoin village na di community name for di places for Nigeria wey Sproto Gremlins, di HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu ($BITCOIN) mascots, dey paint for wall and water tank. Di two projects be Sproto Street, one row of wall cover by holders' Sprotos, and di Sproto wells, community boreholes wey tanks carry Sproto and HPOS10I paint and plaque. Both rearranged by Bitcoin Mandela, a Nigerian member of di $BITCOIN community, and paid for through holders wey send ETH. Bitcoin Obama no run them, but e cheer di 2023 well drive (“I love this project”) and community still jokes say di wells be im.

For September 2023 Bitcoin Mandela start sell spots for di wall for nigeria where holders fit get their own Sproto Gremlin paint, and e say e dey buy di street name make e call am “SPROTO STREET”[2]. Painting don continue pass Oct 2023, when e call Sprotos “the people’s guardian”[3] and di wall “the legendary Nigerian Sproto wall”[4], then spread to other wall and one warehouse. For July 2026 e revive am as di “Sproto Street Chronicles”[5], paint new “Immortals” for last open spots, and date Day One as July 22, 2023. Ask by Morelight where else Sproto Street dey, e answer “Only NIGERIA”.[6][7][8]

Di Sproto wells

Di water project grow out of di same circle. On Oct 6, 2023 Yannix write say di community help Bitcoin Mandela raise 2 ETH “to build a DEMON-FREE water pump”[10] (one nod to di Tinubu demons), and say another member, 0xSonicAD, get separate plan for three mechanical wells for Kano State. Bitcoin Obama reply “I love this project”[11]. One holder bill di drive as bring water “to everyone in Sproto Village”[12].

Di first well be for Onipanu village: on Oct 13, 2023 Bitcoin Mandela post say marble plaque de mount and di “HPOS10I and Sproto guardian of Onipanu village”[9] paint. Di third borehole follow for Igbo ile village for November 2023, wit tank read “Not the Government”. E set goal of ten wells and later to beat MrBeast's 100. By March 2024 e list villages wey dey serve and thank di HPOS10I account, Yannix and others; for October 2024 e celebrate 50th water project. For December 2025 e come back to first well and report am still dey use, “All thanks to #harrypotterobamasonic10inu $Bitcoin community”[13].[14][15][16][17]

Later projects

Bitcoin Mandela continue build wells wit donors from other Web3 communities, post each village by name for April 2026. For October 2026 e write say di pipo nominate e represent them for government, credit “the Ticker $Bitcoin Community”[18], and post commissioning di water well and toilet wey di pipo “our gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulrahman Oriyomi Hamzat”[19] attend. The posts no name di state.

Connection wit Bitcoin Obama

Bitcoin Obama is not credited in Bitcoin Mandela's posts as an organizer or funder. In the same week as the first well drive he was asking the community for money to “do Available Water in my village”[20] and to buy a water drilling machine. In 2025 the community began attributing the wells to him as a joke: Cryptoiscrack told Kanye West to “get a drink from the sproto well in the bitcoin village”[21] with Bitcoin Obama, and another holder wrote that Obama had “funded the construction of 10 water wells in Nigeria”[22] and was the father of Morelight. Neither claim is supported by the organizers' own posts.

Yannix also talk say di history of di Bitcoin Mandela accounts na “VERY complicated”[23], and say second Bitcoin Mandela account did water wells for another community. Dis page follow posts of im main account only (see Bitcoin Mandela).[24]
