In juni 2023, weken nadat Bitcoin Obama voor het eerst verscheen, schreef hij een van de eerste stukjes Obama-overlevering: een nepnieuwsthread waarin Obama wordt neergeschoten om CZ te redden. Sindsdien heeft hij over Obama gepost en Obama heeft hem vanuit verschillende van zijn accounts geantwoord.

Het CZ-draadje

Op 7 juni 2023 (rond 16:35 CT) plaatste RedKev een nepnieuwsthread over een aanslag op het leven van Binance-oprichter CZ. Daarin “started flying towards CZ, but our hero was there just in time. He jumped in front of CZ, shielding him” . In de post “Outcome” staat dat de aanvallers 'CZ hadden gemist en de toekomstige president van Nigeria , Bitcoin Obama hadden geslagen' [1] , en dat “CZ rushed to help and held Bitcoin Obama in his arms when he uttered 'harrypotterobamasonic10inu to 1B MC' before passing out” . In de post “Aftermath” staat dat Obama “is expected to make a full recovery” [2] en dat CZ “said he would do anything he could to help $Bitcoin” .

2023: “Bitcoin Obama is taking over the world”

In de eerste maanden juichte RedKev Obama toe. Hij vertelde een Nigeriaans nieuwsaccount “Bitcoin Obama would never let this happen, time for a change” [3] , en schreef: “It's beautiful, Bitcoin obama is taking over the world” [4] . Op 23 juli 2023 tagde Obama hem, samen met andere artiesten, in een bericht waarin hij een NFT “best NFT of the world” noemde [5] . [6] [7]

2024 en 2025: Bitcoin Obama 2.0

Als antwoord op Bitcoin Obama 2.0 schreef hij “Bitcoin Obama 2.0 cookin 👨‍🍳” [8] (augustus 2024) en “Bitcoin Obama 2.0 undertaker wasn't on my bingo card” [9] (februari 2025). Zijn grappen werden droger. Hij schreef dat “bitcoin obama has only ever devved rugs bro” [10] , dat “barack and Michelle are the heroes, bitcoin obama is the villian last I heard” [11] (op de vraag of een project Bitcoin Obama of de echte zou bevatten), dat “using bitcoin obama to promote is the worse thing you could've done” [12] , en, in oktober 2025, “im really glad we are phasing out irl bitcoin obama for sora bitcoin obama” [13] .

2026
